Amazonia Between Two Worlds
Amazonia Between Two Worlds is an ongoing long-term photographic project with two objectives. On one hand, to document the daily life of Amazonian peoples. On the other, to question the stereotypical imagery perpetuated by media outlets and exhibition halls.
With thousands of photographs taken at different points in Brazil, Colombia, and Peru, Amazonia Between Two Worlds argues that this is not a remote region nor are the peoples who inhabit it isolated from the global network; that feathered crowns are only worn in folkloric contexts, where culture is represented rather than lived; and that indigenous peoples are far from being ecologists in the Western sense of the term.
