INTERCULTURAL HEALTH

INTERCULTURAL HEALTHFrom theory to practice
This report, produced in collaboration with Ricard Faura and Jerónimo Mazarrasa, provides an overview of intercultural health experiences around the world, with a particular focus on the Amazon region. Intercultural health is emerging as a transformative approach to healthcare that integrates Western medical practices with traditional indigenous healing methods. In addition, it offers an in-depth exploration of this concept, covering its historical, political, theoretical, and practical aspects. The purpose of this guide is to analyze intercultural health proposals in countries with indigenous and traditional populations, identifying obstacles and suggesting strategies to improve the health of these communities.
